Dr. James Wurster

Last updated: February 2024
Welcome!
Until May 2023, I was a Research Fellow in computational astrophysics.

My research included investigating the effect non-ideal magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) processes had on star formation and on the formation and evolution of protostellar discs. Details are summarised on my Research page and animations can be viewed on my YouTube Channel.

My technical expertise is in computational astrophysics, including code development (specifically the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics, SPH, method), performing large (magneto-)hydrodynamical simulations, and analysing and interpreting large data sets.

Although I am no longer in academics, these webpages describe my scientific and numerical contributions. For information on my current career, please see my LinkedIn page
